"La La Land" se alza como la gran favorita de los Oscar, tras obtener 14 nominaciones a la estatuilla dorada, en 13 categorías. De esta forma, iguala el récord que tuvieron "Titanic" y "Eva al desnudo".
El musical dirigido por Damien Chazelle postula a Mejor Película, Mejor Director, Mejor Actor (Ryan Gosling), Mejor Actriz (Emma Stone), Mejor Guion Original y Mejor Canción Original ("Audition" y "City of Stars"), entre otras categorías.
En el apartado de Mejor Película, la cinta competirá con "Arrival", "Fences", "Hacksaw Ridge", "Hidden Figures", "Lion", "Moonlight", "Hell or High Water" y "Manchester by the sea".
