Agregó que “fueron muy grandes las expectativas, por lo menos en el mundo latino, respecto de lo que él podía hacer” en esas y otras temáticas.
Respecto de su visita, Salazar indicó que si su postura en Temuco “va a ser como en Osorno por nombramiento de un obispo, va a tener una reacción muy probablemente adversa”.
Aseveró que desde visita de Juan Pablo II “ha habido un deterioro considerable en cuanto a credibilidad, confiabilidad” en iglesia católica en nuestro país, y concluyó que “no hay una fuerza renovadora” dentro de la institución.
